"Benj. Sanders who m. Josephine Brummett was either brother or cousin to my husb. ggfather Joshua Sanders s/o Catherine Eaton Sanders who was killed in the Indian raids in Jack Co., Texas in 1860. The marriage record found in 'Jack Co., Texas marriage records, book 1 & 2 1858-1851, lists Benj. and Josephine Brummett, issued April 26, 1870, no return shown'."

"Joshua Sanders m. a 3rd or 4th time to Sarah Elizabeth Masagee/Massingill Bailey. Joshua and Sarah are buried in Knox City Cemetery. The stone reads "Joshua 1827-1913 Sarah E. 1846-1940".
